About SONIC
SONIC is a European cybersecurity project focused on enhancing the protection and resilience of digital infrastructures.The project brings together innovative technologies and services to support earlier threat detection, faster incident response, and more robust cyber resilience in increasingly complex and heterogeneous environments.
Objectives
SONIC’s goal is to change the way cybersecurity is built, deployed, and used in Europe. The project focuses on turning advanced research into practical, high-impact security capabilities by aiming to:
- Make threat intelligence smarter and actionable Transform Cyber Threat Intelligence into a living, operational capability that connects infrastructure assets, vulnerabilities, and threats, enabling faster and more accurate security decisions.
- Detect threats before they escalate Enable continuous, intelligent monitoring and automated response that identifies anomalies early and neutralises attacks across complex, real-world infrastructures.
- Expose hidden malware risks Deliver powerful malware analysis tools that safely uncover malicious behaviour before applications reach production environments.
- Find and fix vulnerabilities faster Combine penetration testing, fuzzing, and AI-assisted analysis to uncover weaknesses early and support rapid remediation and self-healing mechanisms.
- Turn incidents into insight Provide intuitive forensic visualisation tools that help analysts quickly understand what happened, why it happened, and how to respond better next time.

SONIC Marketplace
The SONIC Marketplace will be developed as a central platform for the discovery, selection, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity tools and services.
is intended to support Security Operations Centres (SOCs), organisations, and cybersecurity professionals by providing a structured environment where interoperable cybersecurity solutions can be accessed and combined according to specific operational needs. The marketplace will aim to reduce fragmentation, simplify technology adoption, and support informed decision-making.
The platform will host solutions developed within the SONIC project and will be designed to remain open to the integration of third-party solutions, including tools developed by European cybersecurity providers and other EU-funded projects. This openness is intended to promote interoperability, collaboration, and knowledge exchange across the European cybersecurity ecosystem.
Over time, the SONIC Marketplace is envisioned to evolve into a sustainable innovation and deployment hub, supporting the uptake of advanced cybersecurity technologies and contributing to improved cyber resilience across Europe, in alignment with EU security and regulatory frameworks.
