University of Cyprus Team Represents SONIC Project at ACM CHI 2026

UCY at ACM CHI 2026

The SONIC Project consortium celebrates the successful contribution of our partners from the University of Cyprus (UCY) at the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI 2026), held in Barcelona from April 13–17.

Representing the project, Pantelina Ioannou and Elias Athanasopoulos showcased research centered on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) within cybersecurity frameworks. CHI is the premier international venue for HCI research, and this year’s event in Barcelona brought together global experts to discuss the evolution of human-machine synergy.

The work presented by the UCY team is integral to the SONIC Project’s objective of enhancing the efficiency of Security Operations Centers (SOCs). By focusing on the “Human Factor,” the project aims to ensure that the intelligent marketplace for security tools remains intuitive and effective for end-users.

We congratulate the UCY team for their dedicated work and for showcasing SONIC’s research excellence on the international stage.
