SONIC Project Partner ADACOM Participated in the Vision Forex Forum

SONIC at the Vision Forex Forum

On 19 March 2026, the international retail financial sector gathered at the premier Vision Forex Forum to discuss the evolving technological, operational, and regulatory landscapes redefining global brokerage infrastructures. As a major highlight of the event, the SONIC project was prominently featured on the ground through the active participation and strategic presence of our consortium partner, ADACOM.

Representing ADACOM and the broader SONIC objectives, an expert delegation consisting of Altani Batoudaki, Marios Constantinides and Evdokia Demetriou engaged extensively with C-level executives, liquidity providers, and international risk managers.

Addressing Critical Cybersecurity and RegTech Challenges in Retail FX

The modern foreign exchange ecosystem is heavily reliant on automated platform execution, real-time algorithmic pipelines, and cross-border connectivity. However, these advancements bring significant operational risks, including data breaches, synthetic fraud, and multi-domain threat vectors. Brokerage firms must continuously balance cutting-edge data utilisation with strict legal constraints, especially when navigating compliance boundaries under CySEC, the EU AI Act, and the NIS2 Directive.

As the leading beneficiary responsible for operational benchmarking and piloting (WP5), the ADACOM team used the forum as an invaluable opportunity to discuss how SONIC’s upcoming solutions directly safeguard high-volume financial infrastructures.

Maximising Impact Through Amphidromous Collaboration

By anchoring SONIC’s technical capabilities within a high-stakes financial compliance arena, ADACOM’s participation effectively fostered a strong amphidromous positive impact. On one hand, the forum allowed our consortium to absorb critical operational inputs, regulatory concerns, and real-world infrastructure benchmarks directly from leading FinTech operators. On the other hand, it allowed SONIC to promote sovereign, standards-based European security tools back to international financial markets, paving the way for wider technology transfer and ecosystem uptake.

The feedback and operational insights captured during this high-level forum will directly enrich the ongoing design of the SONIC Marketplace backend repository and shape our pilot validation scenarios.
