SONIC at the Building Cyber Resilience Workshop 2026
The SONIC project joined European cybersecurity initiatives, research partners, and industry stakeholders at the Electra Palace in Athens for the “Building Cyber Resilience in the Digital Era” workshop.
Organised as a collaborative joint activity alongside EU projects CRACoWi, DETANGLE, and INCIDENTRON, the workshop brought together policy leaders, tech developers, and compliance experts for a practical exchange on navigating Europe’s digital regulatory landscape.
SONIC Presentation Highlights
Dr. Kitty Kioskli (Dissemination & Communication Leader for SONIC, trustilio) presented the project during a dedicated session focused on enhancing digital infrastructure protection. The talk highlighted how SONIC addresses emerging operational challenges introduced by key European frameworks, specifically the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
Collaborative Exchange
The workshop served as a practical platform for cross-project alignment, featuring technical exchanges and discussions centered on three core themes:

✔️ CRA Enforcement: Managing expectations and technical requirements as regulations take effect.
✔️ Cross-Border Incident Response: Strengthening collaborative management across sectors and national borders.
